After receiving a degree in art Sara began teaching in both the secondary and Junior college arenas. She also was an interior designer for a prominent local design firm. From that point Sara ventured to the world of textile design and free-lanced for 16 years for companies such as, Koret of Califoria, Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. Sara is now successfully licensing her own art work.

Sara’s inspiration comes from a variety of sources some of which are traveling to exotic, far-off places , exploring new techniques with workshops and classes (as seen in her 2004 monotype series) and last but not least living in Marin County California where she skis, mountain bikes and has a great love for the out-of-doors.

Sara prides herself in keeping up with current and upcoming trends and colors. She surrounds herself with people that keep her abreast of the heartbeat of the design world. You will see her designs in major stores and boutiques across the country.
